Executive Team

Mark Shedletsky

Founder & CEO

Mark sold his previous start-up, BlueHaze, to Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment where he served as the CEO of XIX Digital, managing the digital strategy across all talent management and content. Mark was previously the Head of Marketing at BitTorrent and the co-founding Head of Marketing responsible for launching MTV in Canada. Mark earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and BComm from McGill University. He thoroughly enjoys drinking fine Canadian beer and letting his kids take slap shots at his head.

Nick Abramovic

Cofounder & CTO

Nick is a data scientist who runs engineering for Vertical Mass. He is most known for being the the former CSO and Cofounder of OkCupid Labs after his first startup, DateUp, was acquired by IAC/Match.com.

Nick has a background in mathematics, but don’t let that fool you. He spent more time drinking than in a University of Chicago classroom and during his stint at the University of Colorado, he was most likely found snowboarding.

Justin Johnson

VP, National Ad Sales

Prior to Vertical Mass, Justin led successful sales teams at Tremor Video and CBS Sports. He brings 17 years of veteran Digital sales experience to Vertical Mass. When he isn’t out evangelizing our brand and building our sales team, Justin spends his time in Hermosa Beach with his wife and 5 year old twin boys.

Mark Jacobs

Dir of Sales & Partnerships, East Coast

Mark is a 10 year veteran of the digital space, having spent time working for both agencies and publishers, and has driven industry award winning initiatives in each role to date. In those few moments when he's not at a media event of some sort he's on the move, finding new places around the world to try to stay out of trouble, successfully for the most part.
